JPG vs JPEG

The JPG & JPEG file extension are used for the same filetype, if given the choice, use JPEG.
History¶
JPG and JPEG are interchangeable file extensions representing the same image format. The distinction lies solely in their naming; JPG was used when file systems limited extensions to three characters.
It was intended to be JPEG but DOS prevented this. Now the technology allows use of JPEG, so try use this now.
